“This scholarship helps me make my dreams and goals possible.”

Being a recipient of the the Young Family Foundation scholarship was truly an honor and a blessing. This scholarship helped me pursue and achieve my dream of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. After high school, I attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi and graduated in 2005 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I continued my education at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and graduated with a Masters Degree in Nursing in 2013 and have been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Victoria! This scholarship helped me reach my goal, and I will forever be grateful! Thank you, Young Family Foundation!

With the foundation’s gratuity, I was able to attend college and focus on my education without feeling the burden of college tuition and the cost of books. The opportunity to meet academic goals and continue receiving funds through eight semesters was a true blessing. I would like to say thank you to the Young Family Foundation’s Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Fall 2015, Spring 2016, Fall 2016, Spring 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018 scholarship which helped me in becoming a certified educator.

Words cannot express how thankful I am to have been a chosen scholarship recipient of the Young Family Foundation. Furthering my education has always been a top priority for me and this scholarship not only helped me gain a bachelor’s degree, but is also aiding in a master’s degree at the University of Texas. This scholarship is an absolute blessing! I will forever be grateful for this gift and I cannot thank the Young Family Foundation enough.

The Young Family Foundation scholarship has been a blessing to me, my college career, and my life in so many ways.  There are not enough words to express my gratitude for this amazing opportunity.  For my first and second years of college, I am attended Wharton County Junior College.  I then transferred to Texas A&M University for two years where I planned to graduate with a Psychology degree with a Pre-Med background.  After graduating from Texas A&M, my goal was to get accepted into a Medical School and earn a Psychiatry degree.  This scholarship helped me make my dreams and goals possible.  I am truly grateful to be honored with this wonderful and unbelievable opportunity.

The Young Family Foundation scholarship has really helped my family and me financially with my past two semesters at Victoria College.  The foundation has also helped me set goals for maintaining good grades.  It’s a big relief to know that they are there to help me accomplish my dream of graduating college.

– Rafael Martinez, 2010 Ganado High School Vocational Recipient

Being awarded the Young Family Foundation scholarship was such an honor.  This scholarship has made the financial burden of college so much easier on my family and myself.  I honestly don’t know if I could have attended my dream college of Texas A&M without it.  I will always be so grateful for this scholarship and the way it has helped me achieve my dreams.
